There is no banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
The short version
This site sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies of any kind. Nothing here is shared with Google, Meta, or anyone else, because none of their code is loaded. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

Analytics without cookies
We do count page views, because running a website blind is not sensible. It is done on our own server with no cookie and no identifier that persists: a visitor is counted using a one-way hash of their address and browser combined with a salt that is replaced every day and then thrown away. Yesterday's visitors cannot be matched to today's, by us or by anyone who obtained the data.
This tells us how many people read a page. It cannot tell us who they were, and it is not capable of following anyone between sites.
If that changes
If we ever add something that does require consent, a consent mechanism will appear before it loads, not alongside it, and not after. This page will be updated in the same release.
